SOCIAL IMPACT
Gracie's social impact initiative is "No Excuse For Abuse", a domestic violence awareness campaign. She works closely with a local victims services shelter, Peace River Center, located in Lakeland, Florida. She strives to encourage fundraisers and donations to the state shelters and show her support physically (and virtually). She promotes national resources such as thehotline.org (National Domestic Violence Hotline). She was featured during April's Sexual Assault Awareness Month for her national virtual event with the National Sexual Violence Resource Center. She strives for on-campus involvement by joining her college's reporting program for gender violence. This program promotes the value of consent with over 80 presentations per school year. She aims for societal change through policymakers, law enforcement, educational resources and fundraisers to create opportunity for survivors to live in a safer environment. She has completed hours of advocacy training through the NSVRC and encourages others to use their voice for those who can't.
